Handmade one of a kind pottery from the Pacific Northwest

Welcome to my little art space. My true pottery love is jars and teapots, and I’m endlessly captivated by various approaches to lidded vessels. Textures feature strongly throughout my art, and I’m especially interested in the look and feel of unglazed surfaces. My influences can be found in the natural world, in flowing water, stone, trees, and flowers.

i will embrace my inner cliche and let it pass through me…

Upcoming Classes

November 18th - December 2nd
Tuesdays at 5:30
Cascade Ceramics Studio

Learn to make these ornaments from start to finish. This class is for wheel throwers and handbuilders both.

Wheel thrower will learn to make closed forms by throwing off the hump. Not ready for that? Learn to make pinch-pot closed forms.

In the second class you’ll learn how to hand trim your closed forms. Then we will have fun with carving and/or underpainting our ornaments, Or just enjoy spending some zen time getting that clay extra smooth and ready for the bisque kiln.

Our final class will be for wrapping up (ha!) any unfinished ornaments, and glazing any that are ready. All projects that are finished by the end of class on the 2nd, will be ready for pickup by Wednesday, December 10th.
